See the ‘Missing’ Sonia and Rahul posters which were pasted in Rae Bareli and Amethi

The Mother-Son duo of Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi

Rae Bareli and Amethi in Uttar Pradesh which are the Parliamentary constituencies of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi don’t seem to be very happy with their MPs.

Last week it was reported that Rahul Gandhi missing posters had surfaced in Amethi. According to the report, Rahul had visited his constituency about 6 months back, after which he apparently hasn’t been seen again. Here is the poster in question:

As seen above, the poster contains a picture of Rahul Gandhi with “Missing” written in the caption 3 times and has been signed as “citizens of Amethi”.

The poster says that “Amethi’s honourable MP Sri Rahul Gandhi is missing from the constituency because of which the developmental works there are halted. Due to this behaviour the common man is feeling betrayed and insulted. If someone informs about his whereabouts in Amethi, they would be given an appropriate reward”.

Now some people of Rae Bareli too seem to taken a cue from their Amethi counterparts and have come up with a Sonia Missing poster as Sonia Gandhi hasn’t supposedly visited her constituency this year:

This poster too was modelled on the lines of the Rahul Gandhi one and promised a reward to whoever notified the people of Rae Bareli about the whereabouts of Sonia Gandhi. Dozens of these posters were reportedly pasted in Gora Bazaar, Mahanandpur and the Government Colony of Rae Bareli. They though were ripped apart soon after their presence was detected.

The local Congress leaders have blamed the “saffron camp” for these posters and have alleged it be a campaign of the RSS and the BJP.

Incidentally this isn’t the only time, the leaders have been subjected to such posters.

In 2015 various “Rahul Gandhi Missing” posters had surfaced in Uttar Pradesh with messages like, “Amethi Without a Leader”.

One poster which had surfaced in Amethi had taken a dig on RaGa’s foreign trips with the messageJane woh kaun sa desh jahan tum chale gaye, na chitthi na sandesh, kahan tum chale gaye (Which country have you gone to, that there’s no letter or message from you):

The BJP too had openly carried one such poster where a certain BJP leader had asked for the location of Congress Commander Rahul Gandhi:
