Congress now drags diplomatic relations of India in domestic politics

Following Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo’s visit to Ahmedabad to lay the foundation stone for Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train, in an apparent confusion, Congress has claimed credit for the bullet train as well as derided Modi for the same in same breath.

Yesterday, in their #KnowYourLegacy poll campaign, which has previously been a laughing stock for gaffes, in an attempt to take credit for the bullet train, Congress put up a question asking its followers which Indian PM made first joint statement with the Japanese PM to start the bullet train:

While the correct answer is Dr. Manmohan Singh, most voted for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress social media team was left with an egg on their face.

Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari, who recently spread lies about Christian priest rescued from ISIS captivity, questioned why was Abe Shinzo hosted in Ahmedabad and not in Delhi, the national capital?

Tiwari, in his desperation forgot that the laying of foundation stone for a bullet train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai could be done either in Ahmedabad or in Mumbai, not in Delhi.

In a desperate hope to salvage the situation, Congress released a note which said that Abe Shinzo’s visit to Ahmedabad was a pre-poll gimmick to woo the voters by ‘prematurely unveiling a bullet train project’. Congress social media account again got ridiculed for the same.

They also got called out for the brazenly insulting the head of another nation by reducing him to an election gimmick.

To reduce Prime Minister of Japan to “electioneering” is quite demeaning.
