#ManishKaTheka campaign for failure of Delhi govt to close liquor shops near schools

Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, in a series of tweets last week, had declared that all liquor stores within 100 metres proximity of schools, will be closed with immediate effect.

He also said actions would be taken against the officers who issued licence to them. As per norms, a liquor shop cannot function within 100 metres of a school.

However, some liquor shops still seem to be functioning as per AAP rebel leader Kapil Mishra.

He accused that even though more than a week has passed since Sisodia’s claims of shutting down the shops, the stores are still functioning.

Mishra immediately took to Twitter, a platform Kejriwal and his social media warriors have effectively used in the past to spread fake news and hurl filthy abuses even at each other over disagreements, to make Sisodia accountable.

He started the #ManishKaTheka campaign where he goes to operational liquor stores within 100 mtrs proximity of schools and puts banners changing the name to #ManishKaTheka (Manish’s Liquor Store).

And earlier today, Mishra with his supporters put up “Manish Da Theka” banners at liquor stores near schools.

It seems like the Delhi Chief Minister, who himself is a loose cannon when it comes to maintaining public decorum as a democratically elected leader, has found his match in Mishra.

Earlier, Mishra had posted a hilarious “Sonu” parody song through which he had trolled Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on his birthday, alleging scams and corruption on AAP government.

Neither Sisodia nor Kejriwal have responded to the #ManishKaTheka campaign yet.
