Muslim woman thrashed and thrown out by in-laws for painting Modi and Yogi

A Muslim woman in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, who drew painting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, was allegedly thrown out of her matrimonial house by her in-laws.

According to police, Nagma Parveen married Parvez Khan in November last year. Nagma’s father Shamsher Khan has alleged that although his son-in-law and his family members used to harass her for dowry, she tried to get along with them.

She drew portraits of Modi and Yogi and showed them to her husband, following which, her husband lost his cool and allegedly beat her up. Nagma had made the portraits following the Supreme Court verdict invalidating the instant triple talaq.

Nagma then informed her father, who tried to reason with her husband who alleged that she had gone mad for painting Modi and Yogi. Her in-laws also said that she put up paintings of Modi and Yogi in the house and hence she has no right to live in the house. They then reached out to police. Her father told the police that Nagma’s in-laws told him that his daughter was drawing pictures of Modi and Yogi and had no right to live with them.

On 20th July, Nagma had also filed a police complaint alleging harassment form her husband and in-laws for dowry.

This news, however, has not been covered by Hindustan Times Hate Tracker which we have already shown covers news in it as per a pre-set agenda. Seems like hate because of particular ideology doesn’t cut the ice with Hindustan Times.
