BJP MLA Sangeet Som’s statement that Taj Mahal was built by traitors and cannot be considered Indian history has created quite a furore and it led to people from all quarters coming together to defend how Taj is an integral part of Indian history.
One such attempt came from The Indian Express which published an article by Congress leader Amaresh Misra, who was earlier arrested for posting hateful comments and issuing rape threats on Twitter.

This at a time when the mainstream media created a big deal about the stray abusive tweets of people followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and tried to hold him accountable for the abusive tweets on Gauri Lankesh’s death.
