Actor Prakash Raj who prominently played the role of the villain in the Singham movie, has in recent days been trying hard to become a villain for the BJP.
He has been striving hard to become a thorn in the BJP’s shoe and in the process has asked the Modi government to apologise to the people for demonetisation and has even questioned PM Modi on BJP not winning 150 seats in the Gujarat elections. He had also decided to send a legal notice to BJP MP Pratap Simha, who he claimed ‘soiled his (Prakash Raj’s) image’.
Now Prakash Raj seems to have decided to take the route of spreading fake news in order to attack the BJP. This is what he tweeted yesterday:

In the tweet he attached a text note:
The text note riddled with typos, attacked Yogi Adityanath for condemning the celebration of Tipu Jayanthi. As per the note, Raj questioned why Yogi was sowing seeds of ‘disharmony and hatred’ in the state.
He then asked Yogi to take a close look at the images he shared, which he claims show BJP leaders happily celebrating Tipu Jayanthi a few years back. He thus questioned as to why has he (Yogi) suddenly developed resentment against the event, when he had no issues with it in the past. These are the images:
As seen above former BJP CM BS Yeddyurappa and other BJP leaders are dressed in a Islamic attire and as per Prakash Raj are celebrating Tipu Jayanthi. Such claims which were also spread by Karnataka Congress’ official page and current CM Siddaramaiah, were promptly exposed by us as Fake News.
The truth is that the, the first picture is actually of Yeddyurappa attending an Iftar party:

The third picture as pointed out by @SMHoaxSlayer, is of a Karnataka Janatha Paksha Minority Convention in Bengaluru:
So clearly, Prakash Raj knowingly or unknowingly spread fake news in order to somehow attack the BJP, the party which he for some unknown reason he extremely dislikes. It remains to be seen whether, the BJP too would take a leaf out of Raj’s book and send him a letter for ‘soiling the party’s image’.
