Do not fall for fake degrees from these fake university websites

Delhi police busted a pan – India fake degree racket which consisted of three men including a Delhi university graduate. The accused are identified as Pankaj Arora (35), Pawiter Singh alias Sonuv (40), and Gopal Krishna alias Pali (40). The racket admitted that they had sold more than 50,000 fake degrees and mark-sheets using a highly organised modus operandi. The racket gave advertisements in newspapers promising to sell degrees of these institutes. They had set up convincing university websites to demonstrate their reliability. The degrees were printed at their press and sent via post. This racket has been running since 2001 according to police.

Fake websites terminated by Delhi Police include school boards and well known universities

The list of websites include all major universities including Sikkim University, Allahabad University, Karnataka State Open University, Tamil Nadu MGR Medical University. School boards of Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Punjab state open school were also caught. These websites used URLs similar to those of original ones to convince potential fake degree customers. The websites in the list of universities have been taken down.

Fake degree caught at a passport centre leads to the racket

When Vijay Kumar visited a passport centre in Sikar, Rajasthan, the certificates he produced were found to be fake. A case was registered after this discovery. Vijay Kumar had asked for 10th marks card from SRKM Education and Welfare Society, but he had been delivered marks cards of Andhra state board for himself and six of his friends. Arora had assured him that they were genuine. He had obtained them for a price of 1.30 lakh from one of the accused, Arora.

The Delhi police tracked down Arora and his compatriots after receiving this complaint. Cash deposits of 20 lakh were found in various bank accounts. These bank accounts have been frozen. The complaint had led to the discovery of fake websites, undelivered marks and forged blank sheets as well. The fake websites have been taken down.
