Mani Shankar Aiyer’s suspension seems like a damage control sham by Rahul Gandhi after this expose

Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar

Mani Shankar Aiyer, former Union Minister, found himself in hot waters during the Gujarat elections when he used casteist remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Congress Party had then suspended him for his words. However, he was seen entering the AICC headquarters despite the fact that the suspension has not been revoked. The assured manner in which he was seen entering the Congress headquarters has left everyone wondering if his suspension was merely a gimmick for the purpose of damage control.

Shehzad Poonawallah, Congress leader who has rebelled against the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty, has alleged that Aiyer was still a part of the Congress circuit and very much a respected member of the party despite his suspension.

In the second part of the expose, Times Now has revealed an insider saying that Mani Shankar Aiyer is in touch with Rahul Gandhi and is helping his campaign in the North East.

Rahul Gandhi had tweeted after Mani Shankar Aiyer’s “neech” remark that he did not “appreciate” the language used by him against an elected PM and expected him to apologize for his words. However, it seems Congress culture has a knack for encouraging such nasty comments on Narendra Modi as evidenced by Sonia Gandhi’s “Maut ka Saudagar” remark.

The latest expose by Times Now comes only days after Mani Shankar Aiyer was attacking India’s foreign policy on Pakistani soil and complimenting the Pakistani administration for working towards peace and blamed India for the lack of dialogue between the two countries. The expose will come as a further embarrassment to Rahul Gandhi who has had a turbulent beginning to his tenure as the Party President. And it is revealed that the condemnation of Aiyer on Twitter, which was accompanied by a snide remark against the BJP, was merely a carefully crafted strategy to manage public perception.
