Read why people are sporting this t-shirt with ‘militant’ Hanuman image

TshirtBhaiya.com, an online t-shirt portal which came under a lot of fire for selling t-shirts inspired by Major Gogoi, has recently launched the Lord Hanuman print t-shirt using the image of Lord Hanuman which was hailed as a symbol of ‘militant Hindutva’ by leftist website The Wire. When The Wire compared the revered Hindu god Lord Hanuman to so-called ‘Hindu militancy’, Twitter started overflowing with the love for Lord Hanuman.

Inspired by that, Tajinder Bagga, BJP Delhi spokesperson who runs the portal tshirtbhaiya.com got in touch with the artist who created the image, Karan Acharya and took his permission to use the image commercially.

Speaking to OpIndia, Bagga said, ‘The idea came when the leftists were hurt by the image of Lord Hanuman. We got in touch with the artist and took permission. We even give him the credit on our website.’ Tshirtbhaiya is also giving away a free flag with the image of Lord Hanuman on it. Explaining the idea, Bagga said, “If an image of Lord Hanuman in warrior pose at the back of cars irritates these leftists, we will make sure they see it everywhere. Hence now even on the houses, we will have Hanumanji flags. We recite Hanuman Chalisa as ‘bhoot pishaach nikat nahin aave‘. For India, these leftists are only the bhoot-pishaach.’
