Congress’ Sanjay Nirupam defends his derogatory language after ‘apologising’ for the same

Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, after using crass language against Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala, took to Twitter to apologise for the same. In a media byte after the Karnataka Assembly drama where BJP’s Yeddyurappa resigned before the floor test, Sanjay Nirupam is heard sarcastically praising Vala for setting new precedent with regards to loyalty. Following this he proceeded to claim that all Indians would now name their dog after Vala, as no one can set such an example of loyalty.

Following the backlash on Twitter for his remarks, Nirupam took to Twitter to ‘apologise’.

He said that Vala is a human being, how can I make him a dog? He has left even dogs behind when it comes to being loyal. But if he did not like these words, I am sorry. But he has not left any stone unturned to murder democracy. Please resign.

After that he even retweeted tweets by known abusive, Hindu baiting trolls.

He then followed it up with defending his crassness by saying how he feels he is ‘mild enough’ about BJPwalas. That he is ‘still more civilized’ than BJP people.

He again got called out for his vile language.

Such a statement by Nirupam might not come as a surprise for some, considering his habitual offences along similar lines.

We had recently reported how he Nirupam had posted a sexist and misogynist tweet against erstwhile I&B Minister Smriti Irani after her circular against fake news was withdrawn. In his controversial tweet Nirupam called Irani a “Bahurani” (daughter in law), which was termed as sexist by social media users.
