India responds to Sunil Chhetri’s heartfelt appeal : Match tickets sold out!

Sunil Chhetri, the captain of the Indian football team had appealed to Indian football fans to come out to watch the matches in stadiums. He had requested Indians to come and encourage the players. A day after his appeal, India has given an overwhelming response to its football stars as reportedly all the tickets to the India- Kenya match to be held at Mumbai Football Arena have been sold out.

After Sunil Chhetri’s appeal, support and encouragement poured over the football star from all quarters. From Cricket superstars to politicians, all supported the Indian football captain’s appeal and encouraged Indians to support football players.

According to reports, the online booking website started showing errors due to full bookings as early as today noon. Mumbai based Youtuber Nikunj Lotia who is known as BeYouNick announced that he had bought an entire stand and giving away free tickets to football fans.

On Saturday’s match against Chinese Taipei, Chhetri had scored a hat-trick. Chhetri’s appeal seems to have moved Indians to awaken to football.
