Samajwadi Party activists detained for disrupting Amit Shah’s convoy, have pending cases against them

Three Samajwadi Party activists, including two women, were detained by police for waving black flags and jumping in front of BJP President Amit Shah’s convoy in Allahabad on Saturday. In a video clip that has gone viral on social media, two activists could be seen jumping in front of the convoy waving black flags and shouting slogans.

The Samajwadi Party activists, Neha Yadav, Rama Yadav and Kishan Maurya are part of Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha, the student’s wing of Samajwadi Party and studying at Allahabad University.

Neha Yadav also has various cases registered against her. A case has been registered against Neha on 11th October 2017, under IPC section 395 (dacoity).

As per the copy of the FIR acquired from sources in police, one Kamre Alam, in Lanka, Varanasi, was transporting animals in his vehicle, when Neha, along with few men allegedly came in front of his vehicle and stopped it instructed the men to beat up Alam and his friend, who was also transporting animals in another van, for ‘transporting animals’. Following that, the men allegedly climbed the vehicles and beat up Alam and his friend. The FIR further states that Neha Yadav then asked the men to cough up Rs. 40,000 to release the vehicles. When Alam refused, they beat him up again. The goons then allegedly took away their mobile phones and cash on them and fled.

Similarly, other FIRs are also filed against Neha Yadav, copies of which are with OpIndia, under section 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (assault or criminal force otherwise than on grave provocation) and 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty).
