PM Modi is working tirelessly to promote India’s global visibility: Philip Kotler thanks PM for accepting award

Kotler added, "The world is watching India and China closely. India, being a democracy, is a global model because it promotes justice and economic progress for all its people."

Philip Kotler, the top marketing guru and consultant, has thanked Prime Minister Modi for accepting the first Philip Kotler Presidential Award presented to him by the World Marketing Summit.

In a letter addressed to PM Modi, Kotler has written that a committee formed by the WMS had researched extensively on the criteria specified among the leaders of many nations and agreed that PM Modi’s role as the PM of one of the world’s oldest and major nations deserved the award. Kotler also adds that he gave his wholehearted support to this endorsement and stated that as the leader of the world’s largest democracy, Modi has tirelessly promoted India’s image and visibility on the global stage.

Kotler regretted not being able to present the award himself due to health reasons and hence his trusted friend and renowned global business leader Jagadish Sheth to present the award instead.

Kotler has added further that the world is watching India and China. The two countries represent two very different visions of the future and he believes that democracy, though imperfect, is the best way to achieve the aspirations of a nation’s people. On this regard, the world looks at India as a model, because it seeks justice and economic progress for all its people.

The news of the international award being presented to PM Modi was not received well by a certain section of Indian media and opposition leaders. Congress president Rahul Gandhi had shared an article by leftist propaganda website The Wire that questioned the credibility of the award.

Soon after though, the critics were silent when Philip Kotler himself endorsed the award and congratulated PM Modi for being its first recipient. He also added that Modi being the first winner has raised the bar for the future recipients of the award. Kotler had also praised PM Modi in an exclusive interview.
