Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij refers Mamata Banerjee as ‘Tadaka’ for obstructing BJP leaders to enter West Bengal

Tadaka, a Yaksha princess-turned-demoness in the epic Ramayana is known to be a 'villain' as Tadaka and her son Subahu used to disrupt holy rituals by rains of flesh and blood to harass sadhus.

Amidst all the chaos at Kolkata, Haryana Minister Anil Vij has compared West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to Tadaka, a princess-turned-demoness in the epic Ramayana saying she creates problem pertaining to every issue, reports ANI.

As the drama unfolded in Kolkata after the Kolkata police had forcefully detained eight CBI officials who had gone to question police commissioner Rajeev Kumar to obtain crucial information regarding the Saradha scam, Haryana Minister Anil Vij compared Mamata to ‘Tadaka’, said the West Bengal Chief Minister has been interfering in every issue to block the entry of the BJP leaders into the state.

Citing the villain of the epic Ramayana, Anil Vij said, “I used to watch Ram-Leela when I was young and in a scene the demon ‘Tadaka’ used to disturb the ‘Yagyas’ conducted by the Rishis. Mamata Banerjee is also indulging in a similar act.”

He further said that Mamata Banerjee has tried to prevent the rallies of UP CM Yogi Adityanath, BJP Chief Amit Shah and also forcefully stopped the landing the helicopters of BJP leaders. Mamata Banerjee is exactly behaving like Tadaka, said Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij.

Interestingly, it is widely believed that senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy also allegedly refers former Congress president Sonia Gandhi by the same name ‘Tadaka’ along with other names like ‘Vishakanya’.

Tadaka, a Yaksha princess-turned-demoness in the epic Ramayana is known to be a ‘villain’ as Tadaka and her son Subahu used rains of flesh and blood to disrupt holy rituals and harass sadhus. Tadaka was cursed by the great sage Agasthya and had turned her to look like a man-eating demon. Angered by this, Tadaka resorted to creating disturbances to Yogis and Rishis who were residing in forests. Finally, Lord Rama under the orders of sage Vishwamitra had to kill Tadaka.
