Congress IT Cell head just called 38.5% voters stupid

With Congress' fortunes dwindling further, one would imagine that the Dynastic party would finally be humble enough to respect the voters regardless of what their political choice is.

Indian National Congress has been discovering new depths in political discourse by the hour. Congress IT Cell Head, Divya Spandana, who has developed a penchant for lying and shielding the party at all costs, even if it means shielding a rape accused, tweeted a meme that insulted the voters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The meme had a picture of PM Modi and the text read, “Did you know, 1 out of 3 Modi supporters are just as stupid as the other two”.

Congress party and his functionaries have often insulted and derided the Prime Minister with choicest abuses that have nothing to do with factual criticism. From calling the Prime Minister ‘maut ka saudagar’ to caste-based slurs, Congress has done it all and now, they seem to have graduated to openly abusing his voters.

In 2014, Congress got 44 Lok Sabha seats and the BJP got 282 seats. Essentially, BJP won 31.2% votes and 51.9% seats all by themselves. The NDA combined got 38.5% votes in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections.

In a Mega Poll conducted by Times of India, an overwhelming percentage of the population said that they would vote for the Prime Minister in 2019.

A Times of India report reads:

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing four years in office today, his government received a massive thumbs up in a mega ‘Pulse of the Nation’ online poll conducted by the Times Group, with almost two-third (71.9%) of 8,44, 646 respondents who took the survey saying they will vote for Narendra Modi as PM candidate if general elections were held today. With less than a year to go for the next Lok Sabha elections, 73.3% of respondents said that a Modi-led government was the most-likely possibility when the elections are held.

Times Of India took a poll of over 8 Lakh respondents and an overwhelming 71.9% said that they would vote for the Prime Minister if the general elections were held when this survey was taken and 73.3% respondents said that it is likely that the Modi government would come back to power.

When Divya Spandana, who is a representative of the Congress party says that all Modi voters are “stupid”, one must ask her if she is calling 38.5% of India’s population stupid or the 71.9% respondents who said they would vote for the Prime Minister?

With Congress’ fortunes dwindling further, one would imagine that the Dynastic party would finally be humble enough to respect the voters regardless of what their political choice is. The first rule of politics is perhaps that the voters and the citizens of the country are paramount. Congress party should be ideally trying to get a piece of that voting pie instead of insulting a large chunk of the country’s population simply because it has run out of ideas right before the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.
