“Ready to face, whenever they are held,” said Rajinikanth in response to the question of whether he would contest if the by-poll results led to an election.

In response to questions regarding the low voter turnout, he said that an overall seventy per cent was a reasonable turnout. However, the turnout in Chennai would have been lower due to the continuous holidays.

The actor had also said that there is definitely a reduction in caste-based violence and that the Election Commission has conducted it well this time. Though, he also said that an increase in the number of polling booths would be beneficial.

Rajinikanth has said that he hasn’t endorsed any party for the Lok Sabha elections. But he had appreciated BJP’s poll promise of setting up a separate body for the river interlinking project.

Reportedly, there was also a social media buzz with fans expressing their support for the superstar’s entry into politics.
