Another shocker from Uttar Pradesh: 5-month-old baby raped by her own relative

The accused has been arrested and charges under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and POSCO act has been slapped against him.

Days after Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath ordered the state police to take stringent action against the child assaulters, another shocking case of rape has been reported from the Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, a 5-month old baby was brutally raped by one of her relatives.

A youth in kinship had taken out the 5-month-old baby under the pretext of playing with her and then raped her. On his return, the family members suspicious of wrongdoing fiercely beat him up and then handed him over to the police. The child was admitted to the hospital and the accused was lodged in jail for carrying out the rape.

This incident has happened in the Hardoi Gojor area of the Hamirpur district. A youth resident of the village of Chikasi in Hamirpur came in his kinship to meet his relatives. He said to his relatives that he is taking the baby out to play with the girl. But he took the child in the woods and raped her there.

When OpIndia contacted, the Hamirpur police said that the accused has been identified as Muktiyar Singh. He has been arrested and charges under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and POSCO act has been slapped against him. The medical examination of the child has established the occurrence of rape with her.

After committing this rape, the young man reached home and laid the baby down on the bed. However, seeing the child covered in blood, the villagers sensed foul act committed by the youth. When questioned, the accused attempted to escape the place. The suspicious villagers grabbed him and gave him a fierce beating him before handing him over to cops.
