Journalist advices Kerala CPM chief’s rape accused son to convert to Islam to solve his problems

A woman had accused Binoy Kodiyeri of raping her in the pretext of marriage for years.

In a video posted on Sunday, well-known journalist and writer from Kerala O Abdulla invited Binoy Kodiyeri, son of Kerala CPM chief Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, to join Islam as a solution to the current rape charges that he is facing reports News18. Binoy has been absconding from the Mumbai Police ever since charges were filed against him on a complaint by a woman.

In the Facebook post, Abdulla said that Binoy must convert to Islam in order to escape from the predicament that he is currently facing. He claimed that Islam offers him the tools to face his psychological problems. Binoy who is a married man is accused of raping a bar dancer. Abdulla said that having two wives wasn’t a problem, giving the example of actor Dharmendra who allegedly converted to Islam to marry a second time.

The Mumbai police had issued a lookout notice for Binoy at all the airports in the country preventing him from flying abroad and to verify whether has gone abroad. The step was taken after Binoy filed an anticipatory bail plea, which a Mumbai session court would decide upon on Thursday.

A Mumbai based women had earlier filed a case against Binoy accusing him of raping her on the pretext of marriage. The two met at a bar in Dubai after which they got into a relationship. He convinced her to come to Mumbai and they also had a son after she moved into a flat he had rented for her in Andheri. However, Binoy allegedly hid from her that fact that he was already married and had two children, and refused to marry her.
