Rahul Gandhi goes on to mass block people on Twitter after saying nation is made up of people

It is ironical that while Rahul Gandhi says that the nation is made by people, he seems to not like people who disagree with him, and who show the truth to him.

After remaining silent for a whole day, Congress president Rahul Gandhi finally arrived on Twitter to oppose the recent decisions of the Modi government on Jammu and Kashmir. The state has been bifurcated into two Union Territories by a bill in parliament, and the Article 35A has been abolished and Article 370 rendered ineffective by a presidential order.

The Congress is split into middle on the decision to fully integrate Jammu and Kashmir into India. While officially the party is opposing the move, several senior members of the party have gone against the party’s position and supported the government. Even the party’s chief whip in Rajya Sabha Bhubaneshwar Kalita resigned from the party and the upper house yesterday in protest against the Congress party’s stand on Article 370.

Rahul Gandhi said that the government’s decision violates constitution, and that the nation is made up of people, not plots of land. Soon after he tweeted this, many people began replying to him, reminding that Article 370 was always temporary, and it is being removed as per the provisions of the Constitution only. Many Twitter users also criticised him for the party’s stand in the Parliament today that Kashmir is not an internal issue of India.

Soon after Twitter users replied to Rahul Gandhi, they discovered they have been blocked by the Congress president. Several persons posted screenshots showing that they have been blocked form following the official account of Rahul Gandhi.

Some people were blocked just for asking what took so long for Rahul Gandhi to react to the Modi government’s decision, or for just commenting that finally remembered.

While some others were blocked for pointing out Congress party’s stand saying that Kashmir is not an internal matter of India.

Many others were blocked for what is known as ‘trolling’ on social media.

It is ironical that while Rahul Gandhi says that the nation is made by people, he seems to not like people who disagree with him, and who show the truth to him.
