The government of Jammu and Kashmir today issued an advisory for the tourists and visitors currently in the state to curtail their visits as the intelligence inputs suggested a heightened possibility of terror attacks in the Valley. However, talented spinster Rajdeep Sardesai, known for being a Modi and BJP hater, posted a tweet alluding that the advisory is a smokescreen issued to divert people’s attention away from the dire state of the Indian economy.

Sardesai implied that the government of the day is trying to deflect the nation’s attention away from the warnings given by the economy to the state of Jammu and Kashmir by flaring up tensions in the state through the issuance of advisory. He said that the ‘real’ warning on the economy will be ignored now, implying that the Kashmir warning is not real. In a press conference today, Chinar Corps Lt General KJS Dhillon had stated that there were intelligence reports suggesting increased terror attacks in the valley. The government had earlier also moved 28000 security personnel into the state, a week after moving 10000 soldiers.
However, Rajdeep, with his unmitigated disdain for the current government tweeted that the activities undertaken by the government is possibly a ruse to hide its economic failures. This presumption didn’t sit well with a lot of people on Twitter who were quick to admonish Sardesai for his fancied theories and unwarrantedly casting aspersions on the government of the day without any evidence.
Slamming Rajdeep, political analyst Shehzad Poonawalla challenged Rajdeep’s assumption asking if he meant Army is in cahoots with the government over their “panic button” strategy. Poonawalla further questioned that should the Amarnath Yatris be made cannon fodder in the light of reliable intel inputs pointing towards possible terror attacks.

One Twitter tried to knock sense into Rajdeep by saying that reviving the economy is not a single day’s task but an ongoing process. He further added that security of the country is not sacrificed at the altar of the economy and that nation’s security trumps everything else.

Another Twitter user highlighted how Rajdeep Sardesai is trivialising the issue of security of Amarnath pilgrims despite the recovery of lethal weapons such as M-24 sniper and Pakistan made IEDs from the Valley.

A Twitter user who goes by the name Vin Sinners stated that because of such tweets, Rajdeep’s credibility has been continuously dwindling. Calling out Rajdeep’s hypocrisy, Vin said god-forbid if any attack takes place on the Amarnath Yatris, Rajdeep would be the first one to hold Amit Shah in the dock for failing to provide security to the pilgrims.

A country, as large and resourceful as India is fully capable and proficient in handling two disparate events such as faltering economy and National Security threat simultaneously. However, Rajdeep, from his long-standing habits, couldn’t stop undermining the country and its Armed forces, just because his preferred politicians are not at the helm of the affairs.
