Hindu family in Meerut accuses Muslim man of kidnapping their daughter, police registers case

In Meerut’s Prahladnagar, communal tensions prevail after a girl went ‘missing’ after one Jameel allegedly kidnapped her. As reported by Amar Ujala, Jameel used to work at cement trader’s office since some time. He has a father to three children. On Tuesday, the girl went ‘missing’ and her family members alleged Jameel kidnapped her.

Since the accused was of different community than the girl, it led to communal tension. Soon enough, the police arrived on spot and started investigating the case. The calmed down the people started searching for the missing girl. However, they could not find clues.

The police reportedly even went to the accused’s village and detained three people who are currently being questioned. “We have registered a case and search for the girl is on. However, there is no communal tension,” Amar Ujala quotes Circle Officer Dinesh Shukla saying.

This is not the first time Prahladnagar has has communal tension brewing. In June this year, two boys, who were riding a two-wheeler fired shots in the air from a toy gun near a temple and escaped. The minor boys had allegedly fired the toy guns outside a temple with an intention to spread fear.
