The troubles of former Finance Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram seem to increase further as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned his former personal secretary KVK Perumal to appear before them for the third time on Wednesday, reports ANI.
According to the reports, the Enforcement Directorate has asked KVK Perumal to appear before them for further questioning about the dealings of Chidambaram and to seek financial, property and company details.

Reportedly, the ED has sought answers to 40 questions from KVK Perumal. The ED has also sought the property details of his family members, photocopies of their passports. Enforcement Directorate deputy director Manish Gupta and R S Thapilial will examine KVK Perumal.
Perumal had reportedly evaded questions during the earlier two questionings.
Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram is under probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and ED over alleged alleging irregularities in the FIPB clearance granted to INX Media for receiving overseas funds of Rs 305 crore in 2007 during his tenure as the Finance Minister at the alleged insistence of his son Karti Chidambaram.
Chidambaram and his son were named by INX Media co-founders Peter and Indrani Mukerjea, who are currently in jail in Mumbai in connection with the murder of Indrani’s daughter Sheena Bora, in February last year.
P Chidambaram had earlier gone on to great lengths to first evade the CBI arrest and then desperately tried to skirt his judicial custody in Tihar Jail. He is currently lodged in Tihar jail and his plea to surrender before the ED has been dismissed by a Delhi Court.
