After being beaten up, Rajiv Gautam was thrown out of the moving train through the emergency window, killing him

A young Hindu man from Azamgarh was thrown out of a moving train by dozens of men belonging to a different faith while he was returning from his sister’s house in Ghazipur. The man died on the spot after he was flung off the moving train at the Hurmuzpur Halt in Ghazipur district on Tuesday.

Rajiv Gautam (32), a resident of Mubarakpur, was aboard a passenger train going to Mau with his cousin Shrikanth. According to his cousin Srikanth, a young man of another sect, a resident of Mau, boarded the train along with about a dozen companions at Sadat railway station. As the train proceeded, the said youths surrounded Rajiv Gautam in the train and beat him up near Hurmuzpur Halt in Bahriabad police station area at around 10 am.

After being beaten up, he was thrown out of the moving train through the emergency window, killing him. Due to the large number of attackers, nobody in the coach could dare to confront them for the crime they had witnessed. When the train stopped at Jakhania station, all the attacking youths descended and escaped. Srikanth was also injured in the incident, and he informed the station officer as well as the family of the deceased.
