Mangal Kewat said that he sent the wedding invitation of his daughter to the Varanasi office of PM Modi, who is MP from Varanasi, and the Prime Minister’s Office in New Delhi. He told news agency IANS, “Some of my friends asked me to send an invitation to Modiji so I sent one to Delhi and one to his Varanasi office.”

In return, the Prime Minister sent a letter to Kewat, congratulating him on his daughter’s wedding, conveying his blessings to her and the family. He received the letter from the PM on the day of the wedding.

In the letter, PM Modi writes, ‘I am delighted to receive the invitation for wedding of Sakshi and Hanslal. Than you very much for including in the happiness of the family. Heartfelt congratulations to the bride and groom for a start of new life. May the holy moment of the wedding bring the gift of joy. May both remain bound by trust and friendship forever. May there be love in the relationship. They lead their lives in a better understanding which becomes deeper and stronger with time, congratulations and blessings for a long, happy and life filed with good luck with this wish’.
