OpIndia has long advocated that Editors and a media house should be held accountable by its readers and that, it is the responsibility of the media house to respond to feedback and/or criticism.
We believe no entity has the right to advocate such accountability when it shies away from the mirror being held to itself.
To that end, we have decided to form a Readers’ Board. The board would consist of people who we know are our well-wishers but would never hesitate when it comes to asking us for answers, and would also be fair in dealing with, and forwarding to the team credible criticism that the Editor must be willing to either defend or concede.
The board would consist of the following members (in alphabetical order):
- Aashish Chandorkar (@c_aashish)
- Abhishek Muglikar (@a_muglikar)
- Anand Ranganathan (@ARanganathan72)
- Divya (@divya_16_)
- Kushal Mehra (@kushal_mehra)
- Smita Barooah (@smitabarooah)
Every Sunday, OpIndia would be publishing a set of comments, criticism, feedback that we receive with the Editor’s response when required.
We think this endeavour would help us grow and live up to the standards of accountability that our readers expect from us.
You can email your feedback, comments and criticism (we accept appreciation too) to email@example.com
