Congress District Vice President Nasir Ali has been arrested by Bagicha police on charges of inciting religious hatred. SP Shashi Mohan Singh stated that Bhupendra Pathak, the priest of Durga Temple in Bagicha, had filed a complaint against Nasir at the Bagicha police station.
According to the complaint, on the morning of January 3 between 6 and 7 a.m., the priest was performing prayers at the temple. During this time, the accused, Nasir Ali, a resident of Rauni Road in Bagicha, arrived at the temple and began behaving inappropriately, disrupting the worship. When the devotees present in the temple tried to stop him, the accused also misbehaved with them. Priest Bhupendra Pathak alleged that the accused created a commotion, shouting and demanding the prayers and loudspeaker be stopped.
