The Patna police have filed an FIR against Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishor for continuing his protest in support of BPSC aspirants at the Gandhi Maidan. The FIR has been filed after Kishore ignored a previous notice by the local administration to vacate the space and stop his protests near the Gandhi statue in the Gandhi Maidan.

Kishor stated that he doesn’t care if the district administration agrees to his demand or not, he is protesting for the rights of students and that is his job. He has also stated that he won’t move from the Gandhi Maidan.
Prashant Kishor has launched an indefinite hunger strike in support of students who have been demanding the cancellation of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exams over paper leak incidents.
Meanwhile, the district administration has stated that as per a High Court order in 2015, the Gardanibagh is the only protest site in the city and the occupation of Gandhi Maidan for protests won’t be allowed.
