Four players of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Gujarat Titans are likely to be summoned by Gujarat CID, including Shubman Gill, who is currently on the tour of Australia with the Indian team. Other players likely to be called by the CID are Sai Sudharsan, Rahul Tewatia, and Mohit Sharma.
The cricketers are likely to be summoned in a ₹450 Crore Rupees Ponzi scheme scam. Notably, all of them have represented India in International Cricket except Rahul Tewatia.
As reported by Ahmedabad Mirror, CID said that Gill, captain of the IPL team Gujarat Titans invested ₹1.95 crore, while the others had put in smaller amounts.
While initially the scam was estimated to be around ₹6,000 Crores, further investigation put the figure at ₹450 Crores.
