Congress MP Sonia Gandhi vacations in Goa as Triple Talaq bill tabled in the Parliament

Sonia Gandhi, who recently handed over the reigns of Congress to her son Rahul Gandhi, seems to have taken over the vacationing mantle from her son, who has famously missed parliament sessions for his international vacations. Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi was spotted vacationing in Goa while key bills are to be tabled during the winter session of the Parliament.

Sonia Gandhi was missing while the bill seeking to criminalise the practice of instant triple talaq was introduced in the Lok Sabha.

While many journalists were pleased to see Gandhi take a break, many viewers claimed that her absence during the vital triple talaq debate (an issue concerning countless women), could have been avoided, considering she is one of the most prominent women politicians of the country.

Other Twitter users also pointed out how Gandhi is missing out various important women centric bills which are scheduled to be tabled in the Parliament.
