The Amethi congress supporters in order to possibly give a grand reception to Rahul Gandhi ahead of his Amethi visit, have started pasting posters to depict Rahul Gandhi as a reincarnation of Hindu Gods. Rahul Gandhi is visiting his Amethi parliamentary constituency for two days starting Monday.
As reported by ANI UP, a poster has emerged in the Gauriganj region of Amethi, which depicts Rahul Gandhi as Lord Ram’s incarnation and PM Modi as Ravan:
As seen above, the poster claims that the incarnation of lord Ram in the form of Rahul Gandhi will bring Ram Rajya in 2019. In the poster Rahul is seen aiming some sort of a bow or a gun at PM Modi who is shown like Ravan with 10 heads.
However, there seems to be some confusion among Rahul supporters over the divine lineage of Rahul Gandhi as in Lucknow he has been depicted as Lord Krishna:
As seen in the poster, Rahul Gandhi is depicted as a from of Lord Krishna and a person named Rahul Avasthi has been depicted Lord Krishna’s close friend Sudama.

Such a depiction of Rahul Gandhi as a Hindu icon seems to have started more intensely since the Gujarat assembly polls, where the party took up an open soft Hindutva stance in order to try and woo Hindu voters.
We had reported about posters where Rahul Gandhi was depicted as a as an avatar of lord Shiva and another poster depicted him a descendant of Lord Parshuram. Besides this he has also been referred to as a Pandit and Arjun Avatar in some sketches.
The posters cropping up though haven’t always been favourable to Rahul Gandhi.
In August of last year it was reported how Rahul Gandhi missing posters had surfaced in Amethi. This was supposedly because Rahul had visited his constituency about 6 months back to that date, after which he supposedly hadn’t been seen again.
Even mother Sonia was subjected to such a treatment, after similar posters were seen in her Rae Bareli constituency. These posters, apart from notifying her absence from the constituency, also promised a reward to whoever notified the people of Rae Bareli about her whereabouts.
