In 2014, right after NDA swept the polls and Congress was reduced to 44 MPs in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, as the then Vice President of Congress, decided to take responsibility for the loss. However, for reasons best known to him, he was smiling when then his mother Sonia Gandhi was telling the country how upsetting it is to lose the elections.
