BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has suggested that an ordinance be brought in the Ram Janmabhoomi case in order to build a Ram Temple. He was one of the petitioners in the case until the Supreme Court rejected all intervention petitions. However, Dr Swamy had been allowed to pursue a writ petition.
He said that the land be compensated to the Muslim side in exchange for Ram Janmabhoomi.

He also added that Congress influenced lawyers were bringing a halt in the legal process in accordance with the party’s agenda, and thus the law and constitution must be used by the government.
The legal feasibility and political will of the current government will influence further action on this suggestion. It remains to be seen as to how the BJP and Prime Minister respond to the letter of the Subramanian Swamy.
