A Telugu actress has protested in front of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. She has alleged that she has not been given a fair chance and women had been sexually exploited by producers and members of the chamber.

She took off her clothes in front of the office and protested semi-clad in front of the chamber. The actress, Sri Reddy alleged that she had not been given a membership in the movie actors association (MAA) in spite of having acted in three movies. The actress was escorted away from the location after refusing to call off her protest.
The actress claimed that many directors and producers had asked for her nude images and videos in exchange for a cinema role. The actress said that she had not got a role even after she had obliged to those requests. These allegations indicate that the Telugu film industry may be unsafe for aspiring actresses.
The Tollywood industry has denied these claims and has filed a complaint against the actress according to reports.
