Bihar girl molestation video goes viral, police investigations on

In a viral video that has been doing rounds in the social media since Saturday, a girl is seen being brutally molested by a group of six or seven men. In the disturbing video, the young girl is seen being dragged, disrobed and manhandled by several men. The girl is seen crying for help and pleading to let her go while the onlookers kept on shooting.

According to reports, police have identified a motorbike with a Jehanabad registration number and have started an investigation into the matter. The police have reportedly traced the bike to the Sihati village in Bhelavar area but the owner of the bike is said to be living in Patna.

According to reports, the FIRs have been lodged in the town police station in Jehanabad and the investigations will be lead by the SP of Jehanabad and SHO of town police station. The FIRs have been lodged under Section 376 (rape) and Section 511. The police have received information that the girl was a minor hence Section 8 (Sexual assault) of the POCSO Act has been applied too.

According to the latest information, the Special Investigation Teams have learnt that the incident had happened near the Bharthua canal area in the Kako station under Jehanabad. Two individuals have been reportedly detained by the police. The SITs have been formed by Patna Zonal IG Nayyar Hasnain Khan.
