The official twitter handle of the Pradesh Youth Congress, Karnataka, today had a major faux pas. Their ‘holier than thou’ tweet was about Asaduddin Owaisi announcing that he would support the JD(S) in the upcoming Assembly elections, accusing him of attempting to ‘cut’ votes of Congress.
However, their ‘We Muslims’ was instantly picked up by the BJP Karnataka handle who flung it right back at them.

Judging by the past track record of Congress and its IT cell of shoot and scoot, BJP Karnataka they grabbed a screenshot of the IYC-Karnataka tweet, which was soon deleted.
The sudden heroism of ‘We Muslims’ was not missed by common people on Twitter either, who took the opportunity to ask the Congress few uncomfortable questions. soon the IYC Karnataka handle was in full-fledged defence mode. Hilariously, they had already deleted their original tweet before deciding to defend it.

The hopeless defence continued while several other Twitter users started mocking them. In a desperate attempt to save face, they started quoting people’s tweets claiming that they always call themselves ‘we Dalits, We Women, We farmers etc. Sadly, this was soon quashed as a simple search on Twitter revealed that they have no history of doing so.
Twitter does not forgive easily.

The IYC Karnataka handle has not offered any explanations for putting up such a strong defence for a tweet that they have already deleted.
