17 Robert Vadra linked firms under the scanner: Republic TV

Republic TV has revealed that 17 firms linked to Robert Vadra are under the scanner for a number of alleged violations. Things have not been going well for the son-in-law of Congress matriarch Sonia Gandhi as recently, a firm he is linked with was asked to cough up over Rs. 25 crores by the Income Tax Department.

The 17 companies under the lens as per Republic TV are:

6. Skylight Hospitality LLP
7. Lambodar Art Enterprises India LLP
8. Lifeline Agrotech Pvt Ltd
9. Best Seasons Agro Pvt Ltd
10. Greenwave Agro Pvt Ltd
11. Future Infra Agro Pvt Ltd
12. Primetime Agro Pvt Ltd
13. Rightline Agriculture Pvt Ltd
14. Blue Breeze Trading Pvt Ltd
15. Skylight Hospitality Pvt Ltd
16. Skylight Reality Pvt Ltd
17. Lambodar Art Enterprises India Pvt Ltd

As per reports, Robert Vadra’s mother is believed to be the director of 12 of these companies and Vadra himself will be probed for violation of the Companies Act, 1856 on charges of unexplained sources of funds in his companies and acquiring loans from third-parties without any obligation to pay interest.
Republic TV claims that companies did not file annual reports to avoid paying taxes and hide the financial fraud with the ministry under UPA turning a blind eye to the alleged malpractices perpetuated by the companies.
Robert Vadra is reportedly a partner in Skylight Hospitality. The firm has been under the lens for several tax irregularities and land scam complaints. Skylight Hospitality is also under Income Tax scanner for alleged irregularities in financial transactions in their land deals in Rajasthan and Haryana. Priyanka Vadra, Robert Vadra’s wife and daughter of Congress ex-President Sonia Gandhi has also been under the scanner for shady land deals in Haryana under the Congress rule.
