Rahul Gandhi, President of Indian National Congress has been relentless in his attacks toward Bharatiya Janata Party. Today, BJP president Amit Shah mocked Rahul Gandhi and asked him to first give an account of works of three generations of his family that ruled India for nearly 5 decades.

Shah was addressing workers of Jaipur Rural loksabha constituency which is represented by union minister for Youth Affairs Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore. He took a jibe at the Congress for celebrating winning by-polls, he stated his happiness over having such opponents who are happy for winning a few by-polls even when it lost power in several states. Shah’s comment was directed at the fact that the Congress Party lost 14 states while BJP lost eight by-polls.

Deliberating on Gandhi’s nagging and irrational claim about various schemes of central government not being implemented, Shah laid out detailed numbers of the work done by BJP in the last four years. It is during this remark he mocked Rahul Gandhi by calling him a Babua (Child).

“’Arre babua‘, tell me, brother, what you have done in 70 years? Your three generations were in power for 70 years and if they had done all these works then it would not be our luck to provide people toilets and poor mothers gas cylinders.”

Shah further stated that the opposition is disconnected from the ground reality and it has happened because in Congress the soul of the Party is its Leaders, whereas In BJP the workers are the soul. The BJP president urged party workers to work overtime to ensure the victory of BJP in upcoming Rajasthan poll so that the winning streak of BJP can continue after it emerged as the single largest party in Karnataka.  Here also, Shah mocked Rahul Gandhi’s frequent vacations by saying that the temperature in Rajasthan and Gujarat goes up to 50 degrees and it gets difficult to tolerate such temperatures for someone like Rahul Gandhi.

He credited the workers’ diligence for BJP governments in 20 states and asked them to propagate the party’s ideology and enhance the prestige of the Country and not merely to win elections and get to power.
