Mohammad Kaif calls out The Wire’s casteist report on cricketers who played for India

We have earlier written how more often than not the crusaders against caste discrimination are the ones who are actually busy being exclusive, elitist groups themselves. Recently, following the French Football team’s world cup victory, controversial journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, who has earlier shown his casteist side, took to Twitter to link French team’s victory to caste in Indian cricket.

Taking cue from Sardesai, Left-leaning website The Wire, which regularly indulges in willful and malicious lies, republished an edited article from Economic and Political Weekly from earlier this year which talked about lack of SC/ST representation in test cricket.

Cricket Mohammad Kaif, who has been earlier trolled by Muslim fundamentalists over the Internet for performing Surya Namaskar, took to Twitter to call out The Wire’s divisive journalism.

He questioned The Wire on how many SC/ST journalists or senior editors are there in the organisation. He said sport is one field which has successfully broken barriers of caste and players play with inclusiveness. He said that such kind of journalism spreads hatred.
