Hyrbyair Marri, the leader of Free Balochistan Movement (FBM), will be traveling to India to attend a conference in New Delhi. He has been invited by BJP leader and president of Delhi Study Group president Vijay Jolly to attend a seminar on ‘Human Rights in Balochistan’, and Marri has accepted the invitation. This was announced by FBN in a press release issued by the organisation.
The seminar is scheduled to take place on 10th December, which is the International Human Rights Day. In the seminar, Mari will “inform the Indian people and media about the ongoing gross human rights violations in Balochistan”.

The organisation has announced a host of events they plan to organise on the Human Rights Day. They are going to organise a number of protests and awareness campaigns in different countries around the world on that day. The aim of the protests and campaigns is to expose Pakistani and Iranian state atrocities against the Baloch people, said the statement.
Free Balochistan Movement is a political entity with an aim to liberate the Balochistan region from the controls of Pakistan and Iran. It aims to establish an independent Balochistan with a parliamentary democracy and a secular constitution.
Pakistan accuses that Hyrbyair Marri is the leader of the Balochistan Liberation Army, which is designated as a terrorist organisation. He is currently living in the UK after he was granted political asylum in 2011.
In 2015, Marri’s representative Balaach Pardili had addressed a gathering in New Delhi, and he had read a statement by Marri, which had drawn outrage from Pakistan. Pakistan had said that it is proof that India is supporting the Baloch movement in Pakistan. Reacting to this, spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs had said that “India has always been home to the persecuted people from all over the world.”
