Ayodhya has turned into a fortress as Shiv Sena and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) are set to host two separate events in Ram Mandir matter.

Over two lakh Ram Bhakts are expected to descend in Ayodhya to attend a ‘Dharma Sansad’ organised by the VHP to discuss the way forward with respect to the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya. Shiv Sena, in a separate event, is expected to call for construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray visited the Ram Lalla temple earlier today and is expected to offer a silver brick to the saints for the construction of the temple.
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, too, tweeted in support of construction of Ram Mandir.

The VHP in last few days has mobilised support for the rally to be held later today. Rallies were held across Uttar Pradesh to gather support. The police has also assured that all security arrangements are made to ensure the events go by peacefully.
On 6th December 1992, the 16th-century Babri mosque, which is believed to have been built on the place where a Ram temple existed, was demolished by Kar Sevaks. The event soon turned violent which led to widespread communal riots across the country. Two weeks later, on 6th December, it will be 26 years since the incident.
