Muslim youth claiming to be Hindu arrested for issuing hoax bomb threat to Karnataka CM’s residence: Reports

A Muslim youth who had issued a bomb threat against the residence of Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy has been arrested by the Bangalore police on Tuesday reported News9.

According to the reports, Mansoor, a Muslim youth belonging to Koppal had issued a hoax bomb threat at Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s residence at JP Nagar, Bengaluru on December 16.

Interestingly, Mansoor had called the police officials by claiming to be a Hindu. He used the name ‘Gopal’ and had issued a bomb threat at around 09.45 pm on Sunday.

The city police had rushed to the spot with the dog squad to thwart the bomb threat. They had inspected the residence for entire night but did not find any explosive materials around the Chief Minister’s residence. The city police had registered a case and have taken Mansoor into their custody.
