Talking to media Navjot Kaur Sidhu said that she respected the party’s decision and she would work for the victory of Bansal.

Earlier there were reports that Navjot Singh Sidhu was upset over ticket distribution. However, it was later reported that he has been keeping well was recovering from a viral infection which was followed by a tooth infection.

Local Bodies Minister in the Punjab Government, Sidhu, who was a star campaigner during the 2018 Assembly elections, is on the list of star campaigners for the Lok Sabha elections along with Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh. Sidhu had become the butt of jokes after he left the BJP to join Congress in 2017 following the footsteps of his wife who had joined Congress in 2016.

Soon after he joined the Congress the influence of the ideology of his new party could be seen on him as he began to express his unprecedented love for Pakistan. He not only attended the oath-taking ceremony of Pakistan PM Imran Khan but also gave a warm hug to Pak Army Chief General Bajwa. Sidhu’s action was highly criticised by many including Punjab CM Captain Amarinder who called it wrong.
