A polling agent belonging to Congress party went inside the polling vote to allegedly cast a vote on behalf of a woman voter in Malda, West Bengal, reports Times Now.

According to the reports, the incident occurred when one of the women voters went inside the polling booth to cast her vote with the presence of a Congress polling agent. The Congress agent entered inside the premises to vote on behalf of the woman despite the presence of polling officials and central police forces.
In another incident in Malda, the Presiding Officer was allegedly caught influencing the voters, reported Republic TV. According to the reports and visuals, the presiding officer himself cast the votes on the behalf of the voters.
In addition to this, the elections in West Bengal has been consumed by political violence especially in the districts of Murshidabad and Malda. Tensions have erupted in North Malda constituency after some miscreants threw bombs at polling stations. The third phase of elections in West Bengal has continued the trends of severe political violence that was seen during the first and second phase of 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
A BJP camp office has also been ransacked allegedly by TMC party cadres in the Motigunj area of Uttar Malda constituency. Many BJP supporters are reportedly injured in clashes. Another incident of violence was reported from Malda Uttar when a BJP member from the block, Sagar Roy, was allegedly beaten up by TMC members when he tried to record the attack on his phone. The attackers were allegedly trying to capture booth no 173 at Chachol.
The TMC workers also tried to hijack the booth and attempted to vote for the ruling party in South Dinajpur’s Kushmundi. The BJP supporters and villagers were beaten up for showing support towards the BJP. Several people alleged that TMC workers from the area tried to capture the booth while threatening villagers to vote for the TMC.
