BCCI appoints Rahul Dravid as the head of National Cricket Academy (NCA)

In a statement released by the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), Rahul Dravid has been appointed as the Head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

The 46 years old Rahul Dravid, who worked as a head coach of under 19 and India ‘A’ teams, had played 164 Tests and 344 ODIs for India.

“Dravid will also work closely with the National Men’s and Women’s Head Coaches and Cricket Coaches for India Developmental teams – including India A, India Under 19, India Under 23 teams, in the identification of key training and development objectives,” the statement added.

“He will also be responsible for monitoring progress against these objectives for the developmental teams and provide necessary inputs on the same to the Senior Men’s and Women’s Head Coaches,” it further added.

India won the Under 19 World Cup under Rahul Dravid as a coach in 2018. Rahul Dravid also mentored IPL teams (Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals).
