Mehbooba Mufti blames Team India’s orange jersey for the loss against England

Former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti yesterday added fuel to the Team India’s Away jersey controversy and said that it was perhaps the orange jersey which ended India’s winning streak.

India’s loss to England last night in the Cricket World Cup has dented Pakistan‘s hopes of reaching the semi-finals. The orange jersey, on its part, has also been mired in controversies since the ‘liberals’ and the self-proclaimed intellectuals have gone on to see red and fume over the ‘saffronisation’ of Team India.

Mufti’s juvenile tweet irked the netizens who responded to her tweet in style.

Mufti had also tweeted how it was heartening to see Pakistani fans rooting for India against England, ignoring the fact that India’s win will bring Pakistan into semi-finals very comfortably.

Mufti then went on to block those who thought her logic was flawed. Meanwhile, Pakistan plays against Bangladesh on 5th July to keep its hopes of being in the World Cup alive.
