Samajwadi Party leader and land mafia Azam Khan is booked for ‘dacoity’ and stealing buffalo. Two people have filed an FIR against him in Rampur for allegedly stealing buffalo. Recently, his anticipatory bail plea was also rejected. In 2014, Azam Khan’s own buffaloes were stolen when he sent the top UP cop looking around for his stolen buffaloes.
As per reports, one person has filed a case against Azam Khan for stealing two buffaloes whereas another person has filed a case against him for stealing one buffalo.
2016 case
As per the reports, the case is from 2016. It is alleged that on 16th October, 2016 at 6 am, an orphanage and houses nearby were being broken down to construct Rampur Public School. Asif and Zakar Ali have alleged that at that time, Khan and his friend Circle officer Alay Hasan and four others barged into their house and stole their buffalo and Rs 25,000 in cash. The FIR also mentions 40 unknown persons.
Troubles for Azam Khan
Yesterday, a case has been registered under Sections 452, 354, 389, 305, 448, 427, 504, 506, 120 B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He was named in dacoity case where it was alleged that he and his allies forcefully acquired land from a farmer for a school he had built.
Azam Khan is facing 28 cases on charges of land grabbing for his Mohammad Ali Jauhar University, and one case of stealing books. Yesterday the Rampur District Court had rejected his plea for an anticipatory bail in those cases. Recently he was also declared as Land Mafia by UP government.
He was also in news recently for his problematic and sexist remarks against his colleagues in the Lok Sabha.
