Madhya Pradesh police accused of thrashing and forcing tribals to drink urine

In a shocking incident, four police personnel in Madhya Pradesh have been suspended on accusation of not only thrashing about five tribal youth but also forcing them to drink Urine following a spat between them.

According to the reports, the incident took place in Nanpur police station of Alirajpur district after an altercation between them. Reports inform that the argument broke out when the former group had gone for a picnic at Nanpur Phata Dam. Shockingly, this incident has happened on World Adivasi Day.

Reportedly, an argument broke out between the police personnel and five tribals while they were returning from attending Adivasi Diwas at Nanpur Phata Dam. After the scuffle, the tribal men were allegedly brought to the police station and thrashed. Following this, people gathered outside the Nanpur police station to protest against the same.

Families of the victims accuse the policemen were intoxicated and added that the they forced the five tribals to consume urine too.

“A departmental probe is being initiated. Four police personnel, including Nanpur police station in-charge, have been suspended,” Superintendent of Police (SP) Vipul Srivastava said. SP Vipul Srivastava has suspended TI Dinesh Chongad, constables Vijay, Rahul, Manohar and another police official.
