In a horrific terror attack, 6 labourers were shot dead by terrorists in Katrusu village of Kulgam in South Kashmir today evening. All six persons are from West Bengal and were daily wage earners.

Five persons died immediately in the attack, while one person was critically injured, and he was rushed to Srinagar for treatment. The injured person has been identified as Zahooruddin. Later he succumbed to his injuries. The other deceased persons have not been identified yet.
According to reports, the victims were working as masons. They were building a house, and were staying at the home a local in Katrusu village. Terrorists opened fire on them when they were in the house in the evening.
Security agencies have launched a massive search operation to nab the terrorists.
The attack happened on a day a delegation of 28 members of the European Parliament is in the state to observe the situation in Jammu and Kashmir firsthand.
Terrorists have been targeting truck drivers and labourers, mainly those from outside Jammu and Kashmir, since the abrogation of Article 370 by the Modi government. On Monday, a truck driver from Udhampur was killed in Anantnag. On October 24, two non-Kashmiri truck drivers were killed by Jihadi terrorists. On 14th October, a truck driver from Rajasthan was killed by two terrorists. On 16th, an apple trader from Punjab and a brick kiln worker from Chhattisgarh were shot dead in Pulwama district.
