Sandeep Dikshit writes letter to PC Chacko blaming him for Sheila Dikshit’s sudden demise, Sonia Gandhi refers matter to Congress panel

Three months ago, the longest-serving chief minister of Delhi and a veteran Congress leader Sheila Dikshit had passed away at the age of 81. She was reportedly ill for the last several days. Reasons for her demise has been stated as prolong illness and old age. Now, her son and Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit has written a letter to Delhi Congress in-charge PC Chacko blaming him for the sudden demise of Sheila Dikshit. Sandeep has also demanded an apology from Chacko, reports said.

Chacko and Sandeep Dikshit have both refused to reveal the full details of the purported letter, however, media reports claim that sources within the Congress party have said that Dikshit was extremely distressed about the way she was treated and the organisational changes being made in the state unit of Congress.

Sonia Gandhi, the current President of the Congress party has reportedly referred the matter to the Congress disciplinary panel for further action and probe.

At a hurried press conference, several Congress leaders demanded that PC Chacko be sacked from his position and from the party since he had leaked the contents of the private letter written to him by Sandeep Dikshit.

PC Chacko has, however, confirmed that he has received such a letter from Sandeep Dikshit. He said he had received the said letter and forwarded it to Sonia Gandhi. He alleged that Sandeep Dikshit has made some ‘wild and nasty’ allegations against him.

According to reports, Sheila Dikshit herself had written a detailed letter to Sonia Gandhi just a day before her death. According to media reports, she had claimed that she was being constantly harassed by PC Chacko and all her political decisions were being overturned by him.
