Minister of State for Home Pradeepsinh Jadeja tabled the report in the House. The report mentions that, contrary to claims made by the ‘intellectual’ camp, the riots were not organized.

It had concluded that the said incident was part of a “planned conspiracy”. The first part, too, had given a clean chit to Narendra Modi.

Numerous canards have been spread over the years regarding the state government’s alleged involvement in the riots. The report submitted by Retired Justices G T Nanavati and Akshay Mehta dispels all such myth.
